During the WWDC 2025 keynote on Monday, Apple showcased a preview of iOS 26 along with a completely revamped Apple Music experience. Although Cupertino didn’t emphasize much regarding its music streaming service during the event, numerous new enhancements are on the way for the platform.
Apple Music is also commemorating its tenth anniversary, making this redesign a fitting way to celebrate the milestone. Here’s a rundown of every new feature arriving in Apple Music with iOS 26 that we have uncovered thus far.
Key Apple Music features in iOS 26
**Liquid Glass experience:** With the rollout of iOS 26 (alongside other operating system updates), Apple unveiled a fresh Liquid Glass design. Naturally, this is also incorporated into Apple Music. This new translucent material “reflects and refracts its surroundings, enhancing focus on content.” Apple claims this experience brings a “new level of vitality” throughout its system. Once users experience Apple Music in iOS 26, they will encounter a familiar setting with a revitalized appearance.
**AutoMix:** Following the addition of crossfade in iOS 18, Apple Music is set to introduce a DJ-style feature that seamlessly transitions one song into the next.
**Lyrics Translation:** Apple Music will soon provide a lyrics translation feature, allowing you to better grasp your beloved foreign-language songs.
**Lyrics Pronunciation:** To enhance the Apple Music Sing experience, the service will introduce a new Lyrics Pronunciation feature that facilitates easier sing-alongs, irrespective of the language.
**Auto-pin Favorite Songs:** One of the functionalities Apple did not discuss is the capability to pin your favorite songs, artists, albums, or playlists at the top of your library. You can also long press on an album, playlist, or artist to select a Tap Action, such as “Go to Album/Artist/Playlist,” “Play,” or “Shuffle.”
**Lock Screen Take Over:** In the iOS 18 cycle, Apple integrated a new Lock Screen view for the currently playing song. Now, Apple Music can dominate the Lock Screen if the song features an animated cover. It’s a delightful touch that adds more charm to your iPhone.
