One potential contender, according to informed sources, is Apple’s former hardware executive, Tony Fadell, who was instrumental in the creation of the iPod.

The article states that Fadell, now 56, expressed to colleagues his willingness to take over as CEO, and several former Apple executives think he could invigorate the company with his bold leadership style.
