Galaxy Z Fold 7, released earlier this year. However, the latest information indicates that the company may be developing a second Z Fold device, with a potential launch as soon as next year.

This is particularly fascinating given that there have also been speculations about Samsung’s plans for a limited release of its inaugural trifold smartphone in the coming months. Nevertheless, fresh rumors and unofficial images indicate that Samsung may be gearing up to introduce a broader Z Fold to complement its foldable phone range as well.

The speculation originates from ET News, in a report that indicates Samsung is working on what is labeled a “wide” Z Fold. This wider variant will provide a flatter, square profile when unfolded, characterized by a shorter overall structure that is extended from side to side. This closely resembles the design observed in the original Pixel Fold, as well as several other foldables from a few years back.
