Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Release Possibly Delayed Until March

Techmaniacs, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s development has reached completion, yet the standard Galaxy S26 is still ongoing. The reasons behind Samsung’s delay remain unclear, but reports indicate significant alterations to the Galaxy S26 series. Initially, an ETNews report dated October 1 mentioned that Samsung opted to include the Galaxy S26 Plus in the lineup. Early leaks concerning the Galaxy S26 series suggested that Samsung intended to substitute the Plus model with the Galaxy S26 Edge.

Nevertheless, the underwhelming sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge appear to have prompted Samsung to rethink its strategy. According to the report, Samsung could potentially introduce four Galaxy S26 models next year. Subsequently, a Newspim report on October 16 revealed that Samsung has chosen to abandon the Galaxy S26 Edge even though its development was finalized. The report pointed to the same issue: sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge were lower than anticipated. However, it did not suggest any postponements, stating that Samsung plans to reveal three devices in January: the standard Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
