At least, not in person. Instead, his talent for crude dialogue and distinctive laugh lighted up the screen alongside Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in “Paul,” a movie centered on alien invasions and comic gatherings.
Released in 2011 and directed by Greg Mottola, “Paul” tracks Pegg and Frost as two close friends embarking on a journey to the San Diego Comic-Con, looking to satisfy their comic book cravings. Thus begins a quest for these two British buddies and a weed-smoking being who wishes to escape our planet. The challenge intensifies when Special Agent Lorenzo Zoil (Jason Bateman from “Arrested Development” and “Black Rabbit” renown) is in pursuit of them, following orders from “The Big Guy,” portrayed by the iconic sci-fi star Sigourney Weaver, famous for taking down aliens.
