Since its debut in July, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been setting sales records, which has resulted in limited deals on this high-end foldable device.

Thankfully, this trend seems to be shifting, as Samsung has just revealed a promotion offering up to $1,000 off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with the trade-in of an old or damaged device, or a $300 discount if you choose not to trade in. Additionally, Samsung is enhancing the offer by providing customers with a complimentary storage upgrade to 512GB (valued at $120).

With the starting price of the Samsung phone being an impressive $1,999.99, this might be your most opportune moment to snag the premium foldable at a reduced price (well, more affordable) before the holiday season approaches.

Best Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Covers for 2025

A premium-quality case for such a high-end tablet isn’t necessarily as pricey as you might think.

After a two-year break, Samsung reentered the flagship Android tablet arena with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra. It’s clear that a premium and large tablet like this requires a suitable case. This is why you should have at least one of the top Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 cases at home. Opt for a case with an integrated kickstand, as those are ideal for a tablet primarily designed for entertainment.

An adequate Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 case ought to be practical and sturdy.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover Keyboard Slim

Best overall

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover reigns supreme among Tab S11 cases due to its inclusion of a keyboard that seamlessly integrates with the tablet. It’s lightweight, serves as a stand, and remains exceptionally slim, but the cost is higher than one might anticipate.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover

Best slim

Samsung’s case without a keyboard for the Tab S11 is incredibly thin as well, featuring a tri-fold kickstand design. Regrettably, the stylish Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover is also quite expensive, though it is still cheaper compared to the nearly $150 keyboard option.

Spigen Rugged Armor Pro for Galaxy Tab S11

Best rugged

Affordable? Check. Shock-resistant? Check. Includes a stand? Check. Spigen has excelled with the Rugged Armor Pro for Galaxy Tab S11. This robust case features a kickstand and is highly fortified, significantly enhancing impact absorption.

DWaybox Retro Shockproof Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S11

Best folio

Constructed from PU leather, the DWaybox Retro Shockproof Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 comes in five delightful colors. It includes a folio with multiple card slots, a kickstand, an elastic hand strap, and a stylus holder.

Doohoeek Bluetooth Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S11

Best budget keyboard

If Samsung’s original keyboard case is beyond your budget, consider the Doohoeek Bluetooth Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 instead. Priced at just $53, this sleek keyboard case is a bargain. It’s slim, features a stand, and includes backlit keys.

HUKWIMO Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S11

Best budget-friendly option

The HUKWIMO Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 serves as an affordable alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover. It offers the same folio design, allowing it to transform into three different stand types. The magnetic folio aligns with the tablet’s sleep/wake functionality.

First-party Galaxy Tab S11 cases are impressive, but they can get quite pricey very quickly.

Among the finest Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 cases are the official options from Samsung. If a keyboard case is what you seek, nothing outperforms the Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover Keyboard Slim. However, it comes with a staggering price tag of $145. If you opt out of the keyboard to save money, the basic Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover isn’t any less expensive. Without a keyboard, you would still need to spend a considerable $90 for merely a tablet cover with a folio and stand.

Naturally, Samsung’s own cases function beautifully, securely fitting the Tab S11 in all the proper places. Yet, at such prices, it might be wiser to purchase alternatives that perform nearly as well as the original ones. Alternatively, choose reputable brands like Spigen for dependable quality. The Spigen Rugged Armor Pro for Galaxy Tab S11 is durable, affordable, and functional. With raised edges and multiple layers of material for enhanced drop protection, it is a bit on the bulky side, but offers peace of mind in return. The Spigen case also features a kickstand and a compartment for the S Pen.

If you’re leaning towards alternatives, the Doohoeek Bluetooth Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 is a cost-effective keyboard case option for the Tab S11. It features a backlit keyboard, scissor-switch keys, a low profile, a kickstand, and even an S Pen slot. For an even more affordable choice, the HUKWIMO Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 is a budget-friendly option without a keyboard. It mimics the three-fold design of the original Tab S11 Book Cover, allowing you to fold the cover to create a stand in three different configurations.

Instagram’s AI Boosts Teen Safety by Recognizing and Shielding Underage Users from Adult Accounts

Instagram is intensifying its initiatives to foster a more secure online atmosphere for adolescents by broadening its Teen Account safeguards to Canada, following a successful implementation in the U.S. This program seeks to protect younger users by utilizing artificial intelligence to identify and flag potential underage users, including those who try to evade age limitations with fraudulent birth dates. Once identified, these users are automatically transitioned to restricted Teen Account settings, offering stricter controls over who can contact them and filtering inappropriate content.

The AI-powered system is tailored to ensure that the majority of users under 18 are defaulted to a safer digital environment. Although the AI may not always be accurate and can mistakenly flag adults, users impacted can readily adjust their settings and confirm their age. This strategy aims to strike a balance between safety and user freedom.

Moreover, Instagram is actively engaging parents in its safety approach. In Canada, parents will receive alerts with expert-recommended advice on discussing the significance of using accurate birthdays online with their adolescents. This initiative is part of Instagram’s wider plan to bolster parental participation and support in overseeing teens’ online interactions.

Instagram states that more than 54 million teenagers globally are currently using Teen Accounts, with a significant portion of 13 to 15-year-olds retaining the protections. While numerous parents value these defenses, they often feel inundated by the difficulties of managing their children’s online footprint. By merging AI technology with parental guidance, Instagram aims to close this divide and enhance overall safety.

Despite these progressions, Instagram recognizes the persistent challenges of age verification throughout the industry. The platform is striving to fortify its systems by connecting parental consent and app store age verifications with its own technology, making it increasingly challenging for underage users to circumvent restrictions. Through these collective efforts, Instagram is dedicated to establishing a safer online space for teenagers.

A Manual for Selecting the Most Suitable Meta Smart Glasses for You

From Ray-Bans to Oakleys, Meta provides a variety of smart glasses for you to explore.

During Meta Connect 2025, Mark Zuckerberg introduced three new smart glasses, further expanding the range of smart glasses available from Meta. We had the opportunity to test all of them, and I’ve worn several models since 2021.

Even though the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) has been released, Meta is not discontinuing the Gen 1s at all. In fact, the company is maintaining them as the most budget-friendly option in the series, with prices increasing from that point onward. Overall, Meta boasts a total of six distinct smart glasses models to consider.

So, which set of Meta smart glasses suits your needs? They all feature Meta AI at their core and can capture images, record videos, and replicate earbud functionality when linked to any smartphone, but is the least expensive option truly your best choice? Or should you opt for something a bit more upscale? I answer all of these inquiries and more below.

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1)

Contrary to what the name might imply, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) is in fact the second iteration of Ray-Ban’s smart glasses line. The original version was named Ray-Ban Stories and launched in September 2021, but the rebranding to Ray-Ban Meta for the subsequent product was due to significant reasons. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) is a fantastic improvement, providing Meta AI features, much enhanced video and photo quality, surround sound audio recording and playback, along with improved battery performance.

Even though Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) is the most economical option, they remain an excellent choice for smart glasses that I believe most users will find satisfying. They are available in three classic Ray-Ban styles — Wayfarer, Headliner, and Skyler — each offering a broad array of lens colors and tints. Additionally, prescription lenses are available ranging from -6.00 to +4.00.

However, it appears that Meta is no longer stocking all available lens colors for the Gen 1s. As of this moment, Meta only lists Wayfarer and Skyler on its website, and Best Buy has a very restricted selection as well.

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) retains most of the same Meta AI features as newer Meta smart glasses, with a few important exceptions. While you can inquire what Meta sees or hears, it can only handle a single audio prompt at a time. This means you must ask one question at a time, while newer Meta glasses feature Meta AI’s live conversation mode.

The camera quality of Gen 1 is also nearly comparable to that of Gen 2, despite the notable difference in recording resolution. Photos are mostly identical between generations, but video quality is markedly improved on Gen 2s, and Gen 1 also suffers from inferior video stabilization.

The battery life is the weakest aspect of Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1). With only 4 hours of maximum use per charge, you’ll find yourself charging these glasses at least once daily. Fortunately, the included charging case allows for convenient recharging on the go, and you’ll be able to charge the glasses fully multiple times before needing to recharge the case itself.

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2)

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) stands out as the most fashionable smart glasses offered by Meta at present. With over 150 different combinations of lenses, frames, colors, and styles, there’s nearly guaranteed to be a pair that suits your individual taste.

It also represents a significant improvement over some of the less favorable aspects of Gen 1. It nearly doubles the battery life, which was the primary criticism directed at the Gen 1 glasses. These utilize the same internal hardware and cameras as the Oakley Meta HSTN smart glasses, so my battery evaluations there will provide insights on what to anticipate.

In summary, Gen 2s are expected to capture about 60% more photos and videos on a single charge compared to Gen 1s, making them a compelling option for anyone seeking these glasses for their distinct perspective.

Video recording quality receives a considerable enhancement over the Gen 1s, featuring a new 60FPS recording option and significantly improved stabilization.

Along with the upgrades in battery and camera capabilities, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) introduces Meta AI Live conversation mode. When you say, “Hey Meta, go live,” the AI enters conversation mode and is capable of seeing and hearing what you see in real-time.

This enhancement surpasses the previous Meta AI features found in Gen 1 glasses, allowing for a seamless conversation with Meta AI as you move around.

Oakley Meta HSTN

Oakley Meta HSTN are stylish and functional Oakley glasses without the conventional “visor” appearance often associated with the brand. They utilize the same internal hardware as Ray-Ban Meta.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11: Information on 5G Connectivity Support

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 has been revealed, compatible with sub-6GHz 5G networks but missing mmWave support. This allows users to experience broader coverage and improved penetration with sub-6GHz, although at slower speeds than mmWave. The Tab S11, launched at IFA 2025, boasts an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor. It provides up to 512 GB of storage with microSD expansion and operates on One UI 8 built on Android 16. Both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 5G versions are available worldwide, but for now, only Wi-Fi models can be purchased in the U.S. The tablet accommodates physical SIM cards and eSIM setups, offering versatility in connectivity choices. Even without mmWave, the Tab S11 stands out as a formidable player in the tablet market with its high-end features and design.
