While the recent offerings from the iPhone manufacturer have received acclaim for their Apple silicon processors that enhance battery life and performance compared to previous Intel chips in Macs, the company no longer holds the top spot for customer satisfaction among PC brands. As per a study published after Apple upgraded multiple Macs with the M4 chip, the PC brand with the highest customer rating is actually HP.
The research was carried out by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), which noted that consumers have been looking for more from their home electronics and appliances in recent times. “Manufacturers are realizing that the genuine challenge is not only in providing the latest technology, but in delivering dependable, high-quality service that aligns with growing consumer expectations,” stated Forrest Morgeson, Associate Professor of Marketing at Michigan State University and Research Director Emeritus at ACSI. “In this competitive landscape, value and support are as significant, if not more, than innovation,” Morgeson remarked. It appears that brands can no longer depend solely on their reputation if competitors are delivering a superior overall experience.
