YouTuber Assesses Durability of Galaxy Z Fold 7 Following 200,000 Folds

Galaxy Z Fold 7 is evaluated to endure up to 500,000 folds — double the count of the earlier Z Fold models that the company has launched. To test how effectively the new smartphone handles daily usage, a YouTuber named Tech-it has spent the last few days manually folding the device over 200,000 times.

One reason the YouTuber opted to fold the phone manually is to replicate actual usage patterns. While folding machines are useful for standard evaluations, they consistently open and close the device with the same speed and force. By performing all the folding by hand, Tech-it can naturally introduce real-world factors into the equation.

Despite Samsung claiming that the Z Fold 7 can handle up to 500,000 folds, the YouTuber observed that the phone started encountering some problems after merely 6,000 folds. Although these issues may not be entirely linked to the folding action, they do raise some questions about its long-term resilience.
