All you need to tackle Connections Sports Edition #572.
Today’s Connections: Sports Edition might be a breeze for hockey aficionados. If not, good luck!
This iteration of the well-known New York Times word game is designed to challenge sports enthusiasts. Like the original Connections, the aim is to identify common links between words. Similar to Wordle, it resets post-midnight with increasingly difficult word sets, so we’ve provided hints and tips to help you out.

What is Connections: Sports Edition?
The New York Times’ new daily word game is in collaboration with The Athletic, their sports coverage division. It can be played on browsers and mobile, requiring players to group four words with a common theme.
Each puzzle presents 16 words divided into four categories. Despite many words seemingly belonging together, there’s only one correct grouping.
Guess correctly, and those words disappear from the board. A wrong guess counts as a mistake, with up to four allowed before the game ends.
Players can shuffle the board to spot connections more easily. Each group is color-coded from easiest (yellow) to hardest (purple). Results can be shared on social media, akin to Wordle.
