The post-apocalyptic thriller will be among several returning series. On April 21, 2026, it was announced that Apple TV continues its sci-fi trend, with the third season of “Silo” premiering on July 3rd. The season spans ten episodes, concluding on September 4th, with episodes released on Fridays. “Silo” is based on Hugh Howey’s book trilogy and depicts an underground city’s residents living in a controlled environment. While the first season presented a small-town mystery, the scope expanded in the second season. Season 3 explores the origins of their situation in the past. Apple released a teaser along with this synopsis:
“Season three of Silo continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground, revealing an origin story from centuries earlier. Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced ‘cleaning’ amidst recovering from rebellion and facing a new threat. In the ‘Before Times,’ journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy with catastrophic consequences.”
The upcoming seasons will complete the book series, with the show on a timeline to conclude. “Silo” returns while Apple boosts its sci-fi offerings, with new seasons of “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” and “For All Mankind” streaming and “Star City” premiering in May. This summer, “Silo” will be joined by returning sci-fi series “Sugar” in June and “Dark Matter” in August.
