Xbox Owners Can Now Disable Quick Resume for Individual Games

Microsoft has introduced a new Xbox update that offers several enhancements, including the option to disable Quick Resume for individual games. Quick Resume, a highlighted feature on the Xbox Series X / S, enables quick switching between games but may encounter problems with multiplayer games or titles needing constant online access. “We’ve heard your feedback regarding performance after extended inactivity or with games that rely heavily on online connections,” Microsoft states.

The update also allows for up to ten groups on the Home screen (up from two), custom colors in the UI, and easier access to play history. On PC, a gamepad can now function as a mouse, and you can pin up to three games to the “Jump back in” and “Most Recent” lists. Microsoft has begun testing its DLSS competitor, Auto SR, on the Xbox Ally X handheld.

The new Xbox head, Asha Sharma, has prioritized requested features like disabling Quick Resume and customizing colors, as reported by Tom Warren. Sharma also reduced the Game Pass price and replaced the Microsoft Gaming brand with Xbox.
