U.S. Customs and Border Protection will provide tariff refunds to international importers starting April 20. A new online portal, CAPE, will be available through the ACE website to streamline the refund process. This follows a Supreme Court ruling striking down tariffs imposed by former President Trump without proper authority. Eligible companies can expect refunds within 60-90 days of declaration acceptance. American consumers may indirectly benefit as companies like Costco and FedEx return refunds to customers; however, immediate price reductions are unlikely due to ongoing inflation pressures.
