The furniture maker’s AudioLuxe line enhances the audio experience with sound that can be heard and felt. La-Z-Boy has announced its AudioLuxe furniture line, featuring recliners and sofas equipped with built-in sound systems that provide “crystal clear tones and deep bass vibrations.” The company has partnered with Klipsch for speakers integrated into the headrest of each piece and a subwoofer in the base. The furniture can be part of a larger surround sound setup or wirelessly connect to smartphones and tablets for an enhanced scrolling experience.
While details like pricing or configuration options have not been disclosed, La-Z-Boy plans to make the furniture available this fall after its introduction at a trade show this week. Options will include both fabric and leather coverings.
AudioLuxe recliners and sofas can connect to a Klipsch Flexus Sound System and be part of a 5.1.2 surround setup with Dolby Atmos support. They also feature Bluetooth capabilities with Auracast support, allowing users to wirelessly connect their phone to a recliner and broadcast audio to other Auracast-compatible devices.
In a room filled with La-Z-Boy AudioLuxe furniture, individuals can tailor their listening experience using the controls located in each armrest. These controls allow for volume adjustment, audio input selection, and synchronization across all furniture pieces.
The AudioLuxe line shares similarities with Lovesac’s StealthTech Sound and Charge line, launched in 2021, which includes integrated Harmon Kardon speakers and a modular approach to sofa assembly, along with armrest enhancements like wireless chargers.
