Eligible iPhone users could receive up to $95 as a result of Apple’s $250 million settlement in a lawsuit alleging they exaggerated the capabilities of Apple Intelligence. The suit accused Apple of misleading users about its AI tools during the launch of the iPhone 16 in September 2024. Those who purchased specific models of iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, may be entitled to payment from the settlement. The consolidated class-action suits have reached an agreement, pending court approval, with eligible U.S. consumers potentially receiving compensation amounts between $25 and $95. While Apple has not admitted any wrongdoing, they emphasized their focus on delivering innovative products and services. Ryan Clarkson, of Clarkson Law Firm, highlighted the importance of such lawsuits in maintaining consumer protection. Models included in the settlement are the iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Notices and a settlement website will provide further information on consumer rights.
