Interrupting an actor’s vocal warm-up can be quite risky, especially before they host SNL UK. Ted Lasso star and West End veteran Hannah Waddingham, who is well-versed in pre-show routines, guides cast members Annabel Marlow and George Fouracres in the video above. Scheduled to host the UK version of Saturday Night Live on May 9 with musical guest Myles Smith, Waddingham takes her vocal exercises seriously, even when it involves quirky phrases like “big beefy boys need big beefy toys.”
The penultimate episode of SNL UK Season 1 will be followed by the finale on May 16, hosted by Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa with musical guest Holly Humberstone. This inaugural season has featured hosts such as Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, Jack Whitehall, Nicola Coughlan, and Aimee Lou Wood.
Season 2 has not yet been announced.
