The NYT Connections puzzle today isn’t very challenging if you believe in fate. *Connections* is one of the most popular *New York Times* word games that’s captured public attention. The game is about finding “common threads between words.” Like *Wordle*, *Connections* resets after midnight, and each new set of words becomes increasingly tricky—so we’ve provided hints and tips to help you overcome the challenge.

**What is Connections?**
The *NYT*’s latest daily word game has become a social media sensation. The *Times* credits associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu with helping to create the game and bringing it to the publication’s Games section. *Connections* can be played on web browsers and mobile devices, requiring players to group four words that share a common trait.
Each puzzle features 16 words, divided into four categories. Even though multiple words may seem to fit together, only one correct answer exists. If players correctly group all four words, they’re removed from the board. Guess incorrectly, and it counts as a mistake—players can make up to four mistakes before the game ends.
Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded: yellow is the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like *Wordle*, you can share the results with friends on social media.
