The L10 utilizes the same sensor as the Lumix GH7 but has a fixed lens and limited video features. Panasonic has introduced a new compact Lumix camera with a fixed lens, aimed at photographers instead of video creators. The Lumix L10, available in black or silver, can be preordered for $1,499.99. To mark the Lumix brand’s 25th anniversary, a titanium gold version, including matching accessories and software, will be offered for $1,599.99 in limited quantities through Panasonic’s online store.
Weighing 508 grams, the Lumix L10 has a magnesium alloy front case and a metal exterior finished in a textured pattern resembling saffiano leather. It houses a 20.4MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor, also featured in the Lumix GH7. Although the L10 can capture 4K video at up to 120fps, it’s not a video-centric camera due to its compact design limiting heat dissipation and recording duration.
The 24-75mm Leica lens of the camera offers an aperture range from f/1.7 to f/2.8, adjustable via a lens ring, while macro capabilities enable autofocus as close as 3cm. Its phase hybrid focus system, with 779 autofocus points, leverages AI-driven real-time recognition to track subjects such as eyes, faces, bodies, animals, or vehicles. The L10 achieves high-speed shooting at 30fps using an electronic shutter or 11fps with a mechanical shutter.
At the back, the L10 has an articulated 1.84-million-dot screen and a 2.36-million-dot OLED viewfinder. A dedicated button applies different color effects and film styles, customizable through Panasonic’s Lumix Lab app.
