A Brazilian regulator has released images of a new, unreleased Xbox controller. The images, published by Tecnoblog, reveal a smaller controller similar to those made by 8BitDo and HyperX. Manufactured by Microsoft, the controller features 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB-C port, as well as a D-Pad, bumpers, triggers, and a pairing button. Leaked photos show both white and black models, with the controller reportedly equipped with a rechargeable 500mAh battery. This new Xbox controller was initially planned for 2024 alongside a canceled Xbox Series X refresh but is now designed to support Xbox Cloud Gaming and Microsoft’s Game Pass efforts. Microsoft is also testing free ad-supported cloud access and may launch the Xbox Elite Controller Series 3 later this year.
