Quick Share and AirDrop are both wireless sharing functionalities for device-to-device transfers; however, Apple’s execution may have influenced Google’s Quick Share. Prior to last November, Quick Share and AirDrop did not work together, which made the rapid sharing of photos and videos between Android devices and iPhones unfeasible.
