The Flipper One, a more powerful device than its predecessor, the Flipper Zero, isn’t intended to replace it. Unveiled today by Flipper Devices, the Flipper One serves as a pocket-sized electronic multi-tool and an open-source Linux computer. It boasts an 8-core RK3576 processor with a GPU, a 6 TOPS NPU, and 8GB of RAM. Users can benefit from various connectivity features, such as PCIe, SATA, USB 3.0 interfaces, two ethernet ports, and an M.2 slot, which allows for modular enhancements like cellular connectivity or Flipper Zero functionalities such as NFC and RFID. Instead of a traditional mouse, navigation is achieved via a built-in D-pad and customizable buttons. The hardware isn’t finalized yet as the company seeks feedback from developers via an online portal before making it available for sale. CEO Pavel Zhovner plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign later this year, aiming to price the Flipper One at approximately $350.
