Launching today at $269.99, the Birdfy Feeder Metal 2 offers optional subscription services for the AI-powered Birdfy OrniSense system, first introduced at CES 2026. This system identifies over 6,000 species and provides tailored summaries about the birds. A premium version of the feeder is available for $299.99, which includes lifetime AI feature access. Previously, the subscription was $4.99 monthly or $49 annually.
The feeder’s Wi-Fi is enhanced with an external antenna for extended placement options in large yards without needing additional signal extenders. The video is capped at 20fps for smooth live streaming. With a built-in solar cell, the Birdfy Feeder Metal 2 requires no power source and is rated IP66 for weatherproofing, ensuring durability in various weather conditions.
