Govee’s New Colorful Outdoor Lights are Their First with Solar Power

1 Min Read

Govee has launched its first solar-powered lights, featuring a 6W panel with a built-in 4,800mAh battery that can be fully charged in one day of sunlight. These lights can also be charged via USB-C if solar charging isn’t an option. The Govee Outdoor Solar String Lights are now available through the company’s online store and Amazon for $99.99. They have eight color-changing bulbs on a 34-foot cable.

The bulbs can run for up to 13 hours on a full charge at a brightness of 10 lumens. They have a maximum brightness of 50 lumens, but higher brightness reduces battery life. Both the lights and the solar panel have an IP67 waterproof rating, making them suitable for year-round use, even in rough weather.

The LEDs offer a warm white light or endless color options, with 281 trillion color choices available. Govee’s mobile app can help manage these options with 100 preset scenes and music-responsive lighting. The app also allows users to monitor battery levels and set schedules for the lights, optimizing their usage and extending battery life.
