Moft’s MagSafe wallets have always impressed with their folding designs that serve as smartphone stands. The new Moft Trackable Tripod Wallet takes it a step further. While retaining the original functionality of Moft’s magnetic wallet that turns into a mini tripod, it now includes tracking abilities via Apple’s Find My network and a wireless remote for your phone’s shutter, all for an additional $10.
The Trackable Tripod Wallet is available for preorder at Moft’s online store for $59.99, with shipping anticipated in late April. It is 10mm thick, a millimeter more than the prior model, yet Moft has added a tracker, a 70-decibel alarm to locate it, and a Qi-compatible wireless chargeable battery lasting six months in that slight extra thickness.
Crafted from vegan leather, the wallet can hold two credit cards. Its folding tripod legs connect with a sturdy adjustable hinge that can support a phone at varied angles. The built-in remote shutter button links to your phone via Bluetooth for photo-taking even without the wallet attached. Though tracking is limited to Apple’s network, other features work with any phone using a magnetic Qi2 mount.
