As of May 11, My Best Buy Plus memberships are now priced at $29.99 per year, down from $49.99, marking a $20 permanent reduction. Conversely, My Best Buy Total memberships will increase to $199.99 per year beginning June 4, reflecting a $20 rise.
On the whole, subscriptions rarely get cheaper in 2026, especially amidst other rising subscription costs. However, Best Buy has quietly reduced the permanent price of its My Best Buy Plus membership. Last week, the tech retail giant introduced a reward points system for its paid subscribers, alongside a new pricing structure for its Plus and Total subscriptions. Typically $49.99 annually, the Plus membership is now only $29.99. This permanent price drop is already reflected on the Best Buy website, allowing new subscribers to pay $29.99, while existing subscribers will see the new pricing on their next bill. That’s merely $2.50 monthly.
Plus subscriptions offer free two-day shipping, early sale access, extended return window, exclusive member pricing, and 1% rewards on purchases (6% with the My Best Buy Credit Card). Plus, members can save an extra $100 on the LG 77-inch B5 OLED 4K TV, or receive two free months of Apple TV and LinkedIn Premium.
Meanwhile, My Best Buy Total subscriptions will see a $20 price hike, moving from $179.99 to $199.99 per year starting June 4. Interested parties should secure their membership before the price increase to save $20. Total subscriptions offer the same benefits as Plus, along with AppleCare+ protection, in-store and remote services, 24/7 tech support, priority expert access, and 20% off repairs.
The reward points system, detailed through a new digital membership hub on BestBuy.com and the Best Buy app, will also be activated starting June 4.
