Taskmaster Season 21 is underway, featuring Alex Horne and Greg Davies with celebrity contestants Amy Gledhill, Armando Iannucci, Joanna Page, Joel Dommett, and Kumail Nanjiani.
Following Jason Mantzoukas’ lively antics last season, Nanjiani takes a calmer approach to tasks, though the “skittles” challenge in episode 2 tests his composure. In this challenge, contestants must get a bowling ball into a bucket without stepping off the stage or knocking down any “skittles” (bowling pins); touching a skittle results in a time penalty, and all must be standing when the ball is placed in the bucket.
Nanjiani starts well, intentionally incurring two penalties for progress, but soon declares, “This is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.”
