Apple has just launched watchOS 26.5, the most recent software update for Apple Watch. Here’s what’s included in today’s release.
## New Apple Watch Face and Bug Fixes Included in watchOS 26.5
Apple Watch users, a new update is ready for installation today. watchOS 26.5 is now available, and you can find it within the Watch app on your iPhone.
The primary highlight of the update is a fresh watch face: Pride Luminance. Like the new iPhone wallpaper in iOS 26.5, Pride Luminance offers an extensive array of customization choices to personalize it.
Customization options encompass color, dial shape, style, and corner complications for the circular dial shape. Apple showcases 11 pre-set color combinations. Additionally, you can select from over 70 colors, choosing any mix of one to 12 colors at a time. The new watch face can be installed from the face gallery.
Alongside the new face, watchOS 26.5 also brings bug fixes and enhancements in performance. Apple specifically points out these two fixes:
– Resolves an issue where Messages on Apple Watch may utilize SMS instead of iMessage when connected to a dual SIM iPhone.
– Addresses a problem where audio alerts in the Workout app might fail to play if the phone was not in proximity to the Apple Watch.
More significant changes for the Apple Watch are on the horizon with watchOS 27, which will be revealed next month. For additional details on that upcoming update, refer to our coverage here.
