Itching for more of “The Pitt”? Here’s when you can expect Season 3. By Belen Edwards on April 16, 2026. All products featured here are independently selected by our editors and writers. If you buy something through links on our site, Mashable may earn an affiliate commission.
“The Pitt” Season 2 is coming to an end, but if you’re hoping to return to the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center soon, there’s good news. Unlike many streaming shows, “The Pitt” likely won’t take multiple years for Season 3. In a rare move for the streaming era, there was only a year between the premieres of Seasons 1 and 2, both released in early January. Following a similar production schedule, fans can anticipate Season 3 in early January 2027. Fortunately, “The Pitt” appears to be on track with the same timeline; Season 3 filming was set to begin this June, aligning with Season 2’s start in June 2025.
While viewers will wait less between “The Pitt” Seasons 2 and 3 than usual, there’s only a four-month time jump in the show’s storyline—a shorter gap than the ten-month jump between Seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 occurs in November, with colder weather and holiday themes. Get ready for family drama and potential winter-related incidents. I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving in January 2027.
“The Pitt” Season 2 is now streaming on HBO Max.
