On Thursday, VC firm 137 Ventures announced raising over $700 million through two new growth-stage funds aimed at supporting startups with high market impact potential.

Over the last year, the firm, established by former Founders Fund investor Justin Fishner-Wolfson, has invested more than a billion dollars in companies focusing on defense, AI, and industrial systems. Their portfolio features AI agent company Cognition, AI-powered manufacturing firm Hadrian Automation, and defense company Anduril.

Significantly, it is also an investor in Elon Musk’s SpaceX, which could host a historic IPO this year possibly valuing the company at over a trillion. Bloomberg noted that 137 Ventures first invested in SpaceX in 2010 and has since provided the company with around two dozen checks.
