Apple’s most powerful Mac Studio has eliminated options for RAM upgrades. This change follows Apple seemingly exhausting its inventory for the two highest memory configurations available for the device.

### M3 Ultra Mac Studio Available Only in 96GB RAM Configuration

As pointed out by Basic Apple Guy, Apple has taken away the ability to purchase the M3 Ultra Mac Studio with 256GB RAM. It was already nearly impossible to order. In March, Apple also removed the option to customize the M3 Ultra Mac Studio with 512GB of memory. This narrows the M3 Ultra Mac Studio down to a single memory configuration: 96GB.

Apple indicated last week that it anticipates both the Mac mini and Mac Studio to face supply limitations for several months. Additionally, Apple phased out the base storage model of the Mac mini last week, which now begins at $799 with 512GB storage.

In the meantime, Apple’s M5 Max MacBook Pro can be customized with up to 128GB of memory.
