### The Dynasty: UConn Huskies Premieres August 21

Apple TV has revealed the launch date of ‘The Dynasty: UConn Huskies,’ a three-part docuseries that explores the extraordinary history of the University of Connecticut women’s basketball program. Scheduled to premiere on August 21, this series will investigate the program’s development over the last forty years under coach Geno Auriemma’s direction.

In 1985, the UConn women’s basketball team faced challenges, achieving only one winning season. However, with Auriemma’s arrival, a transformative phase began. The program has since produced a legendary lineage of athletes, including Rebecca Lobo, Swin Cash, Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Maya Moore, and Breanna Stewart. UConn has reached unmatched heights, securing 12 national championships—the highest in NCAA Division I basketball history for both genders.

Auriemma’s coaching approach is both legendary and divisive, marked by a vision that prioritizes discipline, responsibility, and a relentless quest for greatness. This environment has nurtured generations of top-tier athletes while also revealing the personal sacrifices and strains tied to maintaining such elevated expectations.

The docuseries aims to offer a comprehensive examination of this historic program through exclusive interviews, previously unseen archival material, and close access to players, coaches, and alumni. Directed by Matthew Hamachek and Erica Sashin, ‘The Dynasty: UConn Huskies’ will be part of a collection of other sports-centric content available on Apple TV.

Apple TV is priced at $12.99 per month and includes a range of popular shows and films, such as ‘Severance,’ ‘The Morning Show,’ and ‘Silo.’
