The sleek hard-floor cleaner effortlessly fits beneath furniture, scrubs spills, and extracts dirty water while cleaning.
If Dyson’s PencilVac Fluffycones made you wish for a similarly slim device for scrubbing hard floors, meet the newly launched Dyson PencilWash. It’s designed to clean spills and stains on various surfaces, and it’s currently available for $249.99 ($100 off) at Amazon, Target, and Dyson in time for Memorial Day.
Featuring a 1.5-inch-diameter handle and a design that allows it to lie almost flat, the PencilWash can slip under furniture and reach hard-to-access areas larger cleaners can’t. Suitable for hard surfaces like tile, laminate, and sealed wood, it uses a pressurized hydration system and a microfiber roller to clean up spills while removing dirty water, ensuring fresh water is always used. A Max mode helps tackle stubborn messes, and a flexible neck aids in maneuverability around obstacles.
The PencilWash is also low-maintenance, capturing debris and wastewater directly in the head, keeping them from clogging a filter. It’s designed not to leave floors excessively wet and includes a sleek charging dock for 30 minutes of use per charge (an additional battery costs $99.99). The 300ml clean water tank can cover over 1,000 square feet on the lowest setting before needing a refill.
