Track your reading progress directly from your Kobo e-reader.
If you want an e-reader but prefer to avoid Amazon, Rakuten Kobo e-readers are a great alternative. Known for being quick, easy to use, and a good value, Kobos have now teamed up with The Storygraph, a platform for tracking reading habits. Starting in June, The Storygraph will be available on all Kobo devices.
The integration allows Kobo e-readers and apps to sync with a Storygraph account, so your reading progress will automatically update. Once you finish a book, it’s marked as read without any extra steps required.
“Our mission is to improve reading experiences, and simplifying tracking is key to that,” says Nadia Odunayo, Founder & CEO of StoryGraph. The partnership between Rakuten Kobo and Storygraph solidifies both brands as appealing alternatives to Amazon.
Amazon dominates much of the book industry with its Kindles and role as a major bookseller, having owned Goodreads since 2013. However, with a growing desire for alternatives that support independent bookstores, the Kobo and Storygraph integration offers a fresh choice for readers.
