For most of 2025, Roborock had the standout robot vacuum. But this year, Dreame aims to change that with the X60 Max Ultra Complete, priced at $1,699.99. After extensive testing at home, I evaluated if it’s worth the investment.

Apologies in advance for repeating “Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete” frequently throughout this review.

What’s special about the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete?

The Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete is almost the most powerful robot vacuum currently available, second only to the Roborock Saros 20. In my tests, it outperformed the competition.

While the Aqua10 Ultra Roller uses a roller mop, the X60 Max Ultra Complete switches to dual spinning mopping pads and introduces heated mopping, a feature not commonly used during floor cleaning in other models.

Is the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete good on carpet?

The Dreame X60 Max Ultra excelled in vacuuming various carpet types and particularly impressed with its ability to remove pet hair and debris from carpet fibers. It managed to clean up a trial of crushed Goldfish crackers without leaving any trace behind.

On my living room rug, similar to traditional carpets, it effectively cleaned pet hair and debris, proving its efficacy in multi-pet homes.

In rigorous tests involving sprinkles and pet hair, the X60 Max Ultra collected almost all debris. Its noise level is surprisingly low for its power.

Is the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete good on hard floors?

Following a winter storm, the X60 Max Ultra’s mopping capabilities were vital in removing salt and water residues, leaving floors shiny. It successfully handled dried water stains, thanks to its heated mopping feature using 104-degree Fahrenheit water.

The spinning mopping pads efficiently cleaned fine dust and debris, showing significant results even in difficult-to-reach areas.

If the vacuum detects a significant spill, it automatically focuses on cleaning it thoroughly before continuing with other tasks.

Factors to consider

With the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete being the most expensive robot vacuum released this year, it comes with high expectations. Minor issues such as occasional missed debris or wrong turns may deter some buyers. The climbing feature, while occasionally useful, is not universally beneficial.

Overall, the X60 Max Ultra Complete is an excellent choice for homes with substantial cleaning needs but is best purchased during a sale.
