The initial beta of One UI 9 was launched in May, presenting improvements in Samsung Notes and the Quick Panel. The Now Brief feature, which recently connected with Samsung TVs via a SmartThings update, could receive additional upgrades with this anticipated update. The objective is to motivate users to explore Now Brief in its entirety rather than depending solely on the lockscreen widget.
As Samsung persists in testing One UI 9, further information is likely to surface, potentially coinciding with the forthcoming Android 17. The company is already beginning to deploy One UI 8.5 on Galaxy S25 devices, while the first beta of One UI 9 is accessible for Galaxy S26 users, incorporating updates for customization tools and the Quick Panel.
