Lego’s May the 4th Star Wars Release: Half the Sets Cost Less Than $50

With May the 4th approaching, my nephew and I are preparing for our tradition: visiting BrickinBad, a local Lego collector hub, to pick a new set to build together over the weekend. We’re not major Star Wars fans, but a good Lego build is always appreciated. Lego’s annual May the 4th event is known for its expensive lineups, but the 2026 collection seems reasonably priced. The most expensive is a $250 Ultimate Collector Series ship, but most sets are under $50.

The promotional event takes place from May 1 to May 6, with seven out of the eight new sets available as early as April 26. If purchased in May, exclusive freebies are available, such as a free Darksaber set for purchases over $160. Whether for desk decor or a weekend toy run with a child, here’s a breakdown of some of the offerings:

– Lego Star Wars The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter (75442): Priced at $249.99, it features 1,809 pieces and comes with an exclusive Mandalorian and Grogu Display gift. Available on May 1 for Lego Insiders and May 4 for others.

– Lego Star Wars The Razor Crest (75447): A more affordable option at $149.99. It’s a 930-piece version of the iconic ship, available on April 26. Purchases during the May event qualify for a free mini-build.

– Lego Star Wars Grogu, Mandalorian Apprentice (75446): This 1,200-piece set showcases Grogu as an apprentice. Waiting until May for purchase also gets the mini-build freebie, priced at $129.99.

– Lego Star Wars Anzellan Starship (75445): Ideal for Babu Frik fans, this 701-piece set is priced at $74.99 and releases on April 26. Purchases during the promo period get the free mini-build.

– Lego Star Wars Darth Vader Bust (75439): A 349-piece set available April 26 for $49.99, suitable for a small display piece.

– Lego Star Wars AT-RT Attack: With 297 pieces, it’s the most affordable set at $44.99, available April 26.

– Lego Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu: Allies & Villains (40856): A 661-piece set for $39.99, focusing on Mando hype. It’s useful for reaching the $160 threshold for the Darksaber freebie.

– Lego Star Wars Yoda Bust (75438): A classic 399-piece build priced at $39.99, ideal for fans of the original trilogy.
