Google I/O is taking place next week! This year, Google has announced that I/O will span two days, on May 19 and May 20. The primary keynote begins on Tuesday, May 19, at 1 p.m. ET, followed by numerous developer sessions, workshops, and announcements throughout the duration of the event. Derrek Lee, Managing Editor of Android Central, will be present in California for all the thrilling announcements.

For the second consecutive year, Google broadcasted a special I/O edition of The Android Show in anticipation of the major event, showcasing some significant updates anticipated for its platforms. There was a lot to discuss and some thrilling announcements regarding Android, Gemini, and even a sneak peek for the forthcoming Googlebooks.

It almost leads us to wonder what awaits us at Google I/O and what announcements the company may be holding back for the major event. Maybe Google will reveal the next significant advancement of Gemini, provide us with additional information about Android XR, and share some long-awaited updates on new Google Home devices. We’ll just have to be patient.
