Meta is experiencing a rise in its AI products’ usage, facilitating around 10 million conversations weekly via business AI tools by late March, up from 1 million at the year’s start. This growth coincides with the expansion of its business AI assistant’s beta program in regions including the U.S., EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Currently, the tools are free for small businesses, but CEO Mark Zuckerberg hinted at future monetization. Meta is integrating AI into business products, powered by its large language model, Muse Spark, from the Meta Superintelligence Labs division. The company noted strong traction for its creative AI tools, with over 8 million advertisers using GenAI ad creative tools, boosting conversion rates by over 3% in tests. Meta is launching an open beta for Meta Ads AI Connectors, allowing advertisers to connect ad accounts to AI agents. The company generated $885 million in quarter revenue, buoyed by paid messaging demand on WhatsApp and app subscriptions. A new WhatsApp Plus subscription offering cosmetic features is in testing. Meta reported a profit of $26.8 billion for Q1, up from $16.6 billion the previous year, with revenue reaching $56.3 billion, a 33% increase.
