The anticipated price increase for the Nintendo Switch 2 was confirmed earlier this month. U.S. customers will pay $50 more for the console, now $499.99 instead of $449.99, effective later this year. However, you could get a free game with your purchase.
In early June, retailers will offer a Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle for $499.99, the upcoming price for the console alone. This bundle includes the Nintendo Switch 2 system and a download code for one game: ‘Mario Kart World,’ ‘Donkey Kong Bananza,’ or ‘Pokémon Pokopia.’ Their prices are $79.99, $69.99, and $69.99, respectively.
You’ll save up to $30 with this bundle, and after the price increase, it’s like getting a free game. This is the perfect opportunity to finally enjoy the Switch 2 game you’ve been thinking about (could it be Pokopia?).
On Reddit, people are calling this bundle a “smart move” by Nintendo to counter the price hike, and they’re not wrong.
Offer dates vary by retailer, according to a press release by Nintendo. The bundle launches in early June for a “limited time” at participating retailers. We’ll keep you updated over the coming weeks.
