For residents of the United States, the price for the Switch 2 will rise from $449.99 to $499.99 — matching the previous price of bundles that featured games like “Mario Kart World” and “Pokémon Legends: Z-A.” Similarly, in Canada, the cost of Switch 2 consoles will escalate from C$629 (approx. $459.82) to C$679.99 ($496.31), and in Europe, a comparable rise will occur from €469.99 ($553.38) to €499.99 ($588.71).
Regrettably, gamers in Japan have received the worst outcome. Not only will the Switch 2’s price rise in Nintendo’s native country, but all Switch variations, including the Switch Lite and OLED, will see increases too. To exacerbate the situation, although Nintendo Switch Online is a worldwide service necessary for playing online games (as well as a growing selection of classic titles), Japanese subscribers will face higher monthly fees.
