The Ray-Ban Meta competitors are expected to be released later this year, with a second model featuring a display set for launch in 2027. Leaked images suggest the new Samsung Galaxy Glasses closely resemble Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. The glasses, code-named “Jinju,” may be announced at the upcoming Google I/O and are anticipated to be priced between $379 and $499, similar to the non-display version of Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2. They are expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 processor, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX681 camera, a 155mAh battery, and bone conduction speakers, but no built-in display. Samsung plans to introduce a more premium version, code-named “Haean,” with a micro-LED display in 2027, priced between $600 and $900, rivaling the latest Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses. If not at Google I/O, Samsung might unveil its first glasses at a later Unpacked event. Samsung, having previously collaborated with Google on a glasses project announced in 2025, released its first Android XR device, the Galaxy XR headset, last year. Earlier this year, Samsung indicated its intention to launch smart glasses in 2026, with limited information about their design or features. This is part of Google’s broader Android XR partnerships that include companies like Warby Parker, Gentle Monster, and Gucci.
