**Spotify Now Provides Guided Workouts**
Beginning today, Spotify users can take advantage of a new feature that offers guided workouts for a variety of activities including yoga, running, dancing, and high-intensity interval training. This move is part of Spotify’s initiatives to improve its platform for fitness lovers, and it includes a collaboration with Peloton in specific markets.
Spotify revealed that both Free and Premium users will benefit from this new fitness feature, which offers playlists and curated content from wellness creators. Additionally, Premium users will have access to more than 1,400 ad-free, on-demand workouts through the Peloton partnership. This vast collection features equipment-free classes across various activities, such as outdoor runs, strength training, cardio, yoga, and meditation, with plans for further growth in the future.
Interestingly, Spotify has discovered that nearly 70% of its Premium users partake in workouts on a monthly basis and already make use of over 150 million fitness-themed playlists available on the platform. The introduction of guided workouts fits with Spotify’s objective to act as a holistic wellness companion.
Moreover, Spotify’s fitness and workout playlists rank among the top applications for its new Prompted Playlist feature, which uses AI to create playlists based on user requests. Roman Wasenmüller, Spotify’s Vice-President and Global Head of Podcasts, highlighted the company’s dedication to becoming a daily wellness companion, stating, “By incorporating thousands of creators and partners like Peloton directly into our video and audio ecosystem, we are investing in a future where Spotify isn’t just where you spend your time—it’s where you go to build momentum, enhance your wellbeing, and get more out of every day.”
To discover the new Fitness hub, Free and Premium users can easily search for “fitness” in the Search tab on the Spotify app. This innovative feature signifies a crucial advancement in Spotify’s development, positioning it as a more essential part of users’ fitness journeys.
