Connections: Sports Edition is a new word game from NYT, created alongside The Athletic, the Times’ sports branch. Playable on web browsers and mobile, it involves creating groups of four words connected by a shared theme. Each puzzle contains 16 words divided into four categories: book titles, software, country names, etc. Correctly identifying a set removes it from the board, while mistakes are limited to four before the game ends.
Players can reorganize the board to better identify connections. Each group is color-coded: yellow is easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share your results socially.
