A teaser trailer for the psychological thriller *Verity* has been released, providing the first look at the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s well-known 2018 novel.
*Verity* centers on writer Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), who is hired to ghostwrite for renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway). Upon her arrival at the Crawford estate, Lowen finds what seem to be notes for Verity’s autobiography, containing disturbing confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett). Lowen soon becomes deeply involved with the Crawford family, unraveling secrets, lies, and manipulation in her quest for the truth.
*Verity* hits theaters on October 2.
