Vylit: The New App from Former OnlyFans CEO is Here

Topless photos are allowed on the new adults-only platform, Vylit. Created by ex-OnlyFans CEO Ami Gan, Vylit launches today after beta testing last year. Unlike OnlyFans, explicit content is not permitted, but topless photos are allowed, functioning like a more lenient version of Instagram. Built for creators and fans, Vylit offers ways for creators to monetize content through subscriptions and tiers, while fans can engage via chats. Gan, who led OnlyFans from December 2021 to July 2023, stated that Vylit bridges the gap between building audiences and monetizing them.

Vylit mimics Instagram’s feel but adds unique features. According to Gan and cofounder Kailey Magder, the app was designed to focus on people and content rather than engagement-driven noise. It allows for discovery through ‘Vybe Check’ and integrates AI, enabling creators to generate AI twins. Chats with AI versions of creators range from friendly to flirty, with AI images shown topless. A sparkle icon marks AI-generated content to ensure transparency. Since topless photos are allowed, Vylit is strictly for verified adult users and uses a third-party service, Verifymy, for verification. Vylit won’t be on the App Store due to the 30% earnings cut but can be accessed directly on its website.
