Gemini Omni can transform videos into anime or add giant heads to people.
Google unveiled a new YouTube Shorts Remix feature that allows users to restyle clips or insert themselves into other videos using Gemini Omni. By clicking the remix icon at the bottom of a YouTube Short, users can see an option to “reimagine” it. This feature lets users prompt Gemini to change a video into pixel art, an anime, or a found-footage horror film. Additionally, it can alter contents by inflating heads, adding background actors, dressing people as pirates, or inserting oneself into the clip.
Creators can choose to enable or disable the reimagining feature. If someone uploads a short of their kids and prefers not to allow others to manipulate it, they can turn off remixing. Google states that shorts remixed with Omni will include a digital watermark and a link to the original video.
