The “Price history” button now reveals a product’s price changes over 30, 90, and 365 days.
Amazon now offers a built-in price tracking feature that lets you view how a product’s price has fluctuated over the past year. To access this feature, open the Amazon app and click the “Price history” button next to the product’s price, or ask Amazon’s AI assistant, Rufus.
This update arrives just a few weeks before Amazon’s annual Prime Day event, which California’s Attorney General highlighted in a “price fixing” lawsuit against Amazon. In the lawsuit, Bonta accuses Amazon of prompting other retailers to increase their prices leading up to its annual sales event. Furthermore, Bonta claims Amazon pressured vendors to escalate prices at other stores or remove the products entirely.
Amazon’s enhanced price tracking tool is now available in the US, UK, and India. Initially launched in 2024, the built-in tracker previously showed prices over 30 and 90 days. Additionally, third-party services like CamelCamelCamel and Keepa can be used to track product prices on Amazon.
