The Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max excel at reducing ambient noise and accurately responding to voice commands. Anker has introduced a new version of its Soundcore Liberty Pro earbuds: the Liberty 5 Pro. These earbuds are the first to feature Anker’s Thus AI audio chip, which enhances noise reduction and ensures clear voice transmission during calls, even in noisy settings. This release marks the first new Soundcore Liberty Pro model since the 2024 edition, which included a charging case screen. Alongside the Liberty 5 Pro, a new Max version has been launched, offering AI-powered note-taking via its charging case.
The Liberty 5 Pro is available now for $169.99 in blue, white, black, and pink. These earbuds retain the charging case’s LCD touchscreen from their predecessor, now larger and more accessible at 0.96 inches, for adjusting ANC levels and activating transparency mode.
The Thus chip affects battery life slightly, providing up to 6.5 hours of listening time with ANC on, and up to 28 hours including the charging case. However, the AI chip enhances other features, including ANC that Anker claims is twice as effective as the Liberty 4 Pro, clearer call quality by reducing background noise, and faster responses to 20 built-in voice commands for adjusting volume, controlling playback, and changing ANC modes verbally.
The Liberty 5 Pro Max, priced at $229.99, is also available in black and titanium-gold. It maintains the same battery life, IP55 dust and water resistance rating, and Apple Find My network support as the Liberty 5 Pro but features a larger 1.78-inch AMOLED display on the charging case. The screen allows for setting adjustments and playback control, while the charging case can record conversations and meetings, with transcripts and action item highlights generated by the Soundcore app on a connected smartphone.
