Asus is introducing the ROG Strix XG129C, a 12.3-inch touchscreen IPS display that acts as a compact companion to a main monitor, similar to the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15’s secondary display. It competes with Corsair’s Xeneon Edge’s 14.5-inch display but shares the same 720p resolution. The XG129C covers 125% of the sRGB color gamut and 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and includes a one-year AIDA64 Extreme subscription for hardware monitoring, typically costing $65. Smaller displays like this can serve as helpful extensions for gaming or content creation setups.
Along with the XG129C, Asus also announced the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS, a 34-inch RGB Tandem QD-OLED monitor featuring a 280Hz refresh rate and a 3440 x 1440p resolution, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Pricing details for these displays are yet to be announced.
