Although the six-bulb set is still a bit costly, the Site Lights are worthwhile due to their convenience and versatility. Each IPX4-rated bulb can light a campsite for up to 20 hours on the lowest setting—or six hours on the highest—allowing you to illuminate a path to your tent or cover a 1,000-square-foot area with ambient lighting. Moreover, the hanging lights easily attach to the six included ABS stakes, which can also serve as tent pegs. It’s a clever design, though the attachment mechanism could be more secure.
The mounting options are only part of the appeal. The Site Lights include a solar-powered charging case similar to a wireless earbuds case. The clamshell charger can recharge each shatterproof bulb twice on a full charge, and when the battery is low, you simply dock them like AirPods. Zepath’s rechargeable AA batteries utilize a similar charging method, which, as we’ve previously mentioned, is incredibly useful because it means you don’t have to charge each cell individually.
