Google has revamped nearly 4,000 emojis with a new 3D design.
Android enthusiasts who love emojis, get ready for Noto 3D emojis to breathe life into your messages, posts, and beyond. Recently, Google announced a design update to almost 4,000 unique emojis. These will be available on Android devices running the forthcoming Android 17. Google noted that the previous designs often struggled to convey emotions effectively online.
Introducing the new Noto 3D, Google’s lineup of 3D emojis.
“From our beloved innocent blob emoji of the 2010s to Noto 3D, the new emoji collection we announced today, emoji are the universal language of our digital lives and they’ve never felt more alive,” Google’s announcement stated.
The company also showcased some 3D emojis in a brief video animation, providing a comparison with the previous 2D designs.
The 3D emojis indeed offer greater detail than the flat 2D versions they replace. Google announced that these new 3D emojis would debut on Pixel phones later this year. Following the Pixel launch, other Android devices will receive the 3D emoji update at a later date.
